Pentwater to Grand Haven to St Joseph

The Blue Willow Crew on the wall in Grand Haven

The trip to Grand Haven was smooth and very comfortable.  As stupid as we could be, we had no reservations on a holiday weekend, with a storm brewing.  Ssoooo,  there is a free wall in Grand Haven. Sounds nice but......  The wall structure did not suit our level of rub rails and we received our first 'rash' on our newly finished rails.  The wind and surge was not comfortable, bands playing, and to top it off, there were 54,397 people walking the river walk wall,
of the 54,397 it seemed like 1 in 10 had an interest in either Daisy, our boat, or the Loop.  We simply tired of talking to so many people.  I even considered covering up our AGLCA burgee.  The weather turned even more windy and rainy, so we finally found a slip, and rested better.  (Thanks to Scott for all your assistance in securing the boat).

We elected to depart early Tuesday for St Joe. the forecast was for 1-2 foot waves, close but more like 2-4 early then it leveled out a bunch.  It was a decent trip.  This was our longest time under power, as we are trying (again) to beat the incoming weather.  In St Joe we are tied up on their free wall too,  nice and there are two other loopers, and another sail boat from Canada.
