While in Frankfort we met our first co-Loopers. When invited to 'docktails' to meet the loopers we accepted. However, when we brought our chairs and cooler, to a group of people having their docktails and introduced ourselves, we soon discovered that we actually crashed another groups docktail party! The 'loopers' are down there one person stated, we graciously exited with mild embarrassment ( I am good at this, Vicki no so much). We then started the process again with another group of real loopers. Met some really nice folks with the same spirit.
The amount of fishermen at the main ports is impressive.

As we passed south of Ludington (or Looodington as other loopers refer to it) we passed the Pumped Storage facility. This is a very unique energy system. Taking non primetime electricity from Nuclear power plants, using it to pump water into a large man made lake, then releasing the water for hydroelectric generation to help meet peak demands for same. The scope and magnitude of this project is immense.

We were weathered in an extra day. Pentwater and Snug Harbor is a great place, we have been to Pentwater many times, and it is a favorite place of ours. There is little traffic compared to other tourist towns.
Chrissy would laugh at me when we came into a port, I was talking to and meeting people before my feet would hit the dock :) Trust me Vicki, it will get easier.
