Albemarle Sound
Albemarle Sound has a reputation for being stirred up in windy weather. The sound is shallow and has a rather long east north easterly fetch. The weather (NOAA0 report said 1-2 ft waves fro the north. Okay lets go. Typical, the 1-2 foot waves were actually 2-4 pretty much on the nose, for the first ten miles. Kinda rocky, but not too bad. CLICK FOR VIDEO But we then had several 4-6 footers, just off out starboard nose. Several things went flying, but no real damage. It went to 1-3's for the second hour, and 1-2;s for the remainder of the trip, about 3 hours.
